Shaunalee M. Clausen

January 26, 1951 – October 9, 2019

Shauna, my wife of 49 wonderful years, suffered from multiple medical issues, she fought hard, put up a gallant fight against those issues and finally lost the battle on October 9^th 2019.

On June 13^th 1970 Shauna married Tom and gave birth to her only daughter on August 17^th 1971 Jennifer.

Shauna is survived by husband Thomas Clausen, daughter Jennifer Clausen, grandson Thomas Greenwade, granddaughter Jennifer Greenwade, and Shauna’s younger brother,  Dennis Borowick.

Preceded in death by father Felix Borowick, mother Marjorie Borowick, sister, Audrey Butler, and brother Daniel Borowick. 

Shauna being strong willed, worked hard to get to where she was, working full time at Honeywell while carrying a full load of credits in college all while raising our daughter and putting up with my career aspirations. For that alone she should be granted saint hood.

She graduated with a degree in business which she put to good use throughout her career. She worked for a number of big companies, gaining valuable experience along the way which ended with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota.

She loved vacationing in Gulf shores / Orange beach Alabama and not being big on flying, we always drove there which was an adventure in its self. We would stop in places like Nashville TN which was fun since we’re both country western fans.

Another of Shauna’s enjoyments came from cooking always trying new recipes and experimenting with something new, she kept us well fed.

She will certainly be remembered as a loving wife, wonderful mother, great friend and co-worker.  Her intelligence, ambition, gift for exceptional cooking, and fondness for gardening will forever be missed.

Visitation and funeral Service will be held at Hosanna Lutheran Church Thursday, October 24, 2019

Officiated by Reverend Violet Larson, Pastor.

Visitation:

10:00 AM to 11:00 AM

Funeral Service:

11:00 AM to 12:00

The internment will immediately follow the service.

Funeral service and internment will be followed by a lunch at the church.

Family and friends are then welcome to gather in the Club Room at Tom and Shauna’s apartment building where conversations and remembrances can continue.
